So… I’m taking this leap and starting my own blog. I’m shaking in my proverbial boots. But excited. There are so many amazing women out there in the blogosphere that I’ve loved reading and connecting with over the last couple of years… can I really do this??
Launch and learn.
I heard someone say this a little while ago and it rang a bell for me. Don’t wait for ‘perfection’, whatever that is anyway, get in there, have a go and learn along the journey.
And what a journey life is… Mine has taken any number of twists and turns and I’ve been learning to trust where it takes me rather than attempt to control every outcome. I’m learning to trust my intuition, let my creativity back out of the box I stored it in for too long and to find joy and contentment in the everyday. My spirit feels so much lighter, even on those days when things can be a struggle due to external circumstances or internal wrangles.
For me, the term launch conjures up images of NASA control room countdowns with highly sophisticated machines being thrust into space seemingly against all odds. At first glance, this can seem like they had everything perfect, everything under control, every eventuality accounted for. Of course they didn’t. They were launching and learning too. Things didn’t always go to plan… sometimes with disastrous consequences but usually they were able to adapt along the way and return to ‘home base’ with new learning onboard. Mission accomplished.
So after a little procrastination [read hesitation due to fear] I’m going to trust in myself and step off. I’ve learnt so much on this bloggy adventure already – a lot of technical stuff, granted, but also about relaxing and letting my own voice emerge. Being myself.
I’ve learnt about asking for help or feedback but also about trusting myself. I love to learn. I love to share and learn from others. I’ll be sharing ideas for nourishing mind, body and soul that I’ve discovered along my journey. Of course that will include food as I do so love to cook and eat! Food can nourish us in many ways and provide the back drop for connection with our loved ones. I have a re-emerging passion for DIY/crafty stuff and upcycling so I’ll share some of my projects with you.
I hope you’ll join the conversation so we can form a little community to connect and share.
We are go for launch…. and lift-off!
What have you learnt from just diving in and giving something a go?
